All Pokémon locations in Pokopia Bubbly Basin
Pick one of the 50 Pokémon and see every Bubbly Basin habitat that spawns it, each priced in total material units, cheapest first. The big guides tell you where a Pokémon lives. Serebii, Nintendo Life and game8 were all read on 11 August 2026 and none of the three puts a price on the habitat you have to build to get there.

Next, once you know which habitats you need: total the materials for all of them at once in the planner.
Where the choice of habitat is worth thinking about
Four readings of the same table, each recomputed when the data changes. Open one to load that species above.
Why the cheapest source is not the one the value ratio picks
The habitat table on this site ranks by Pokémon per distinct material type, and it is explicit that four units of one material cost it nothing. That is the right measure when you are choosing what to build with a full inventory. It is the wrong one when you are the person gathering, because what you go out and collect is units, not categories.
The two measures disagree at both ends. Bubbly bathtub asks for the fewest units in the Basin, 2, and comes 20th of 36 by value ratio. Basin tall grass tops the ratio at 4.00 and sits 16th on units. Neither ranking is wrong. They answer different questions, and this page answers the one about units.
One thing neither measure knows: where any of these materials are found. The dataset has no gathering locations in it, so a two unit habitat whose material only appears in one corner of the map can still take longer than a five unit one built from things lying around. The habitat table sets out the value ratio in full if you want the other side of the comparison.
The Pokémon with no cheaper alternative
Most of this page is advice you cannot act on, and that is worth saying plainly rather than burying. 29 of the 48 habitat-bound Pokémon have exactly one source, so there is nothing to optimise: build that habitat or do not get the entry. Only 19 species have a choice at all, and only 16 of those have a choice that costs different amounts.
The savings on offer are small in absolute terms. The widest is Shellder, where the two habitats differ by 4 units. Put that against the part of the bill no choice can touch: the 28 habitats that are the sole source of something cost 127 material units between them, out of 159 for all 36. Optimising habitat choice is real, and it is working on the smaller number.
That is where the real number lives. Starmie costs 13 units through Mermaid's Gym, which is 6.5 times what the cheapest species in the Basin costs, and there is no second route to it. The tracker marks every single-source species with a star if you would rather work through them by Pokédex order.
What players actually get wrong about habitats
Searching r/Pokopia on 11 August 2026 for threads about missing Pokédex entries turns up the same failure repeatedly, and it is not a cost failure. It is waiting at the wrong habitat. In a thread asking which Pokémon people needed last, 205 replies deep, one player wrote: "Yellow tatsugiri. I, uh, didn't realize I'd been waiting for him to show up in an incorrect habitat. For a month." Another, in the same thread: "I don't know if setting multiple habitats helps spawn odds or not, but i had six of his up for days."
Both of those are about the base game rather than Bubbly Basin. They have to be: the expansion is about a week old, so a month of waiting on it is not yet possible. The habit transfers. A month of waiting is what a wrong habitat costs, and it dwarfs the 4 units the best choice on this page saves you. Checking the source list before you build is the cheap part.
The second quote asks a question this page cannot answer. Whether several habitats improve spawn odds is not in this dataset, and we have not tested it ourselves. What the table does show is that putting up more of a species' source habitats is at least possible for the 19 with more than one, and impossible for the other 29.
What this page cannot see
Time of day and weather. Nintendo Life publishes both per species and our dataset carries neither, so the cheapest source here can still be a habitat you sit in front of at the wrong hour. If a species refuses to appear in a habitat this page says is correct, conditions are the first thing to check, and you will need their table for that, not ours.
Spawn rates, gathering locations and your own inventory are not represented in this dataset either. Every cost on this page is a build cost computed from the material lists: how many units the habitat asks for, nothing about how long any of it takes to find. Phione and Manaphy sit outside the costing entirely, because no habitat spawns them.

Questions about Bubbly Basin Pokémon locations
Which habitat should I build to get a specific Pokémon?
Search the species in the table above. Where it has more than one source habitat the list is ordered cheapest first, counting total material units rather than how many different materials are involved. 29 of the 48 habitat-bound species have exactly one source, so for those the answer is simply that habitat, whatever it costs.
Why do two different habitats give the same Pokémon?
The spawn tables overlap: 19 species appear in more than one Bubbly Basin habitat. A choice only changes the bill when the two builds cost different amounts, and that is true for 16 of them. The other 3 cost the same either way, so pick on whichever else you want out of the build.
Do Phione and Manaphy come from a habitat?
No. Phione and Manaphy are the two of the 50 that no habitat spawns, so no price on this page applies to them. Phione: found on the dream island a starmie doll opens, as a low-rate random encounter, not tied to a habitat. Manaphy: obtained through story progression, not tied to a habitat.
Does this page know the time of day or the weather a Pokémon needs?
No, and that is a real gap rather than a simplification. Nintendo Life publishes time and weather per species and our dataset carries neither, so a habitat listed here as the cheapest source can still keep you waiting for conditions this page cannot see. Treat the cost as the build cost, not as a time estimate.
Why is the cheapest habitat here not the best one on the habitat table?
Because the two pages measure different things and both say so. The habitat table divides Pokémon by the number of distinct material types, which ignores quantity entirely. This page adds the quantities up. Bubbly bathtub needs the fewest units of anything in the Basin and only ranks 20th by value ratio, while Basin tall grass tops the ratio and sits 16th on units.
