Pokopia Beautiful Building Pokemon List
The four guides we read print a Pokopia Beautiful Building Pokemon list as one list. It is really two, and the two have different rules. The build takes 15 bodies: 7 named ones and 8 you pick freely. Separately, 6 of those named ones will not help until you finish a request, and 3 of those requests send you to recruit somebody else first. Both lists are below, in order, with the material bill that is larger than the one on the construction screen.

Three things to know first
- 15 bodies, 7 of them named. All three walkthroughs agree on 15. game8 describes it as Popplio's six friends, plus 8 other random Pokemon, plus Popplio. The 8 are your choice, so none of the four guides can give you a complete named list, and it is hard to see what one would even mean.
- 4 requests need a specialty, not a named Pokemon. The guides point you at Mudkip, Carvanha, Cloyster, Chinchou, but each is one way to supply Water, Cut, Scrub or Electric, and the four guides name different Pokemon for the same job. Check what you already have before going out to catch one.
- The rock figure on screen is short by 3. Crafting the doors and the fencing consumes Star-spotted Rock and Shiny Pearl that the requirements list never mentions.

Every step is either a habitat you build or an errand you run. Gamerant and game8 both cover all 6; Gamerant carries the most detail on the errands, and Nintendo Life details three of them.

Corsola
arrives via Basin tall grass and coralHelp with the garden east of its habitat: the plants need air before Corsola can use its Grow specialty, and then the watermelons need cutting.
That request needs a specialty you may not have yet:
- Water specialty. The guides point you at Mudkip, from Basin tall grass, which blows bubbles onto the plants so they can grow.pokopiaguide says an underwater field takes bubbles from any Water-specialty Pokemon, or a powered Bubble Machine.
- Cut specialty. The guides point you at Carvanha, from Seaweed and netting, which slices the watermelon Corsola will not eat rind-on.Gamerant asks for "a Cut specialty Pokemon, Carvanha"; pokopiaguide has Sharpedo doing the cutting instead.

Corphish

Mareanie
arrives via Swaying flower bed and coralPearls. The one in the north-east cave is grubby, so it needs cleaning, and then Mareanie wants furniture made from it.
That request needs a specialty you may not have yet:
- Scrub specialty. The guides point you at Cloyster, from Swaying flower bed and seaweed, which turns the grubby pearl shiny, and Scrub is itself needed for the build.game8 accepts a Scrub Pokemon "like Sharpedo or Cloyster".

Totodile
arrives via Bubbly bathtubThree games behind the building: Look That Way, then Hide and Seek, then a bubble blower that has no electricity.
That request needs a specialty you may not have yet:
- Electric specialty. The guides point you at Chinchou, from Fluffy relaxation, which powers the bubble blower, which creates the Bubbly bathtub that becomes Totodile's home.Nintendo Life says the game suggests Chinchou but Stunfisk will do.
- Costs along the way: Cushion Bed for the Fluffy relaxation habitat: 100 Life Coins per Gamerant, though game8 says there is one in the other room of the house

Barboach

Frillish
The Starmie Doll. The cave north-west of the site is opened with Rock Smash and its netting cleared with Cut; the Dowsing Rod is what finds the doll once you are inside, with Frillish marking the treasure spots.

How much of it you have already built
The chain sends you to build 9 habitats. None of them is quest-only furniture: every one also spawns Pokemon that count towards the Pokedex, so ticks you made on the habitats page already count here.
Rank all 36 habitats by Pokemon per material uses the same ticks against every habitat, not just these 9.

Five of the six are unanimous. Stone is not: game8 and Gamerant say 30, Nintendo Life says 50. Two against one is not proof, so gather for the higher figure if you want to make a single trip.
What you actually have to carry home
An Ocean Door is crafted from 1 Star-spotted Rock and the build wants 2. A batch of 10 Seashell Fencing is crafted from 1 Star-spotted Rock and 1 Shiny Pearl, and the build wants 10. Gamerant publishes the requirements and the recipes on the same page and never adds them together.

This is arithmetic over Gamerant's own numbers, not a new claim about the game. If you have spare rocks it changes nothing. If you gathered exactly 50, it means one more trip to the mine.
The Life Coin cost
Four things in the chain can be bought. For three of them a guide also gives a place to find one, so the bill lands somewhere between 500 and 1000 Life Coins depending on how much walking you are willing to do. The Seashell Fencing recipe is the one none of the four mentions a free route for.

The quest is also how you reach Phione
Manaphy is the reward. pokopiaguide says it is registered on completing this request, and Nintendo Life describes meeting back up with Manaphy at the end of it.
Phione is the part worth knowing before you start. Frillish's request has you dig the Starmie Doll out of a star-spotted rock deep in the north-west cave, and Gamerant says Frillish hands it back afterwards so Drifloon can take you to a new Dream Island. pokopiaguide says Phione appears at low probability in the underground area of the Bubbly Basin Dream Island, and that the Starmie Doll is how you get there.
Neither of them writes the sentence that joins those, so to be exact about what is theirs and what is ours: both describe the same named item, one as the outcome of Frillish's request and the other as the key to where Phione lives. Putting them side by side is the only step we added. Nothing here says the encounter is guaranteed, and pokopiaguide explicitly says it is not.
Manaphy and Phione are the two entries on the 50-Pokemon tracker that no habitat produces. Manaphy is registered by finishing this quest, so for that one the quest is the route. For Phione the honest statement is narrower: this quest is where the guides say the Starmie Doll comes from, and the Doll is how you reach the island Phione can appear on. Whether the Doll is obtainable another way, nobody has written down.
How much of this Pokopia Beautiful Building Pokemon list we could check ourselves
9 of the steps above name a habitat, and all 9 of them line up with our own spawn table: the habitat a guide sends you to build does spawn the Pokemon it promises. It is worth being precise about what that proves. Our table was transcribed from game8's habitat catalogue and Nintendo Life's Pokedex, so this is two transcriptions agreeing rather than an independent look at the game. It would catch a typo or a habitat name mixed up with a similar one. It cannot catch an error both sources share.
What is still unpublished
- Which 8 Pokemon to assign, and whether the choice changes anything. game8 calls them random and none of the four guides names them.
- Who is right about Stone. One person reading their own construction screen settles it.
- Whether the Starmie Doll can be reused, and whether reaching the Dream Island for Phione competes with anything else.
Next step: the 9 habitats this chain needs are ordinary habitats, so check them against the value ranking for all 36 habitats before building blind, or let the material planner fold them into a build order for the Pokemon you still need. How many Pokemon do you need for the Beautiful Building in Pokopia?
Fifteen. Nintendo Life, game8 and Gamerant all say 15. game8 describes the roster as Popplio's six friends, plus eight other random Pokemon, plus Popplio, so only seven are named and the other eight are your choice. Four of the six requests also need a Pokemon with a particular specialty. The guides point at Mudkip, Carvanha, Cloyster and Chinchou, but they name different Pokemon for the same jobs, and none of the four says those have to be among the eight.
Which Pokemon will not help until you finish a request?
Six: Corsola, Corphish, Mareanie, Totodile, Barboach and Frillish. game8 and Gamerant name the same six, and Nintendo Life details three of them.
How much Stone does the Beautiful Building need?
game8 and Gamerant both say 30. Nintendo Life says 50. Every other quantity is unanimous across the three.
How many Star-spotted Rocks do you really need?
The construction screen asks for 50, but 2 Ocean Doors cost 1 rock each at a workbench and a batch of 10 Seashell Fencing costs another rock plus a Shiny Pearl. Counting those, the real figure is 53 rocks and 11 Shiny Pearls. Gamerant publishes both halves of that sum on one page without adding them together.
What do you get for finishing the Beautiful Building?
Manaphy, registered on completion. The chain also hands you the Starmie Doll during Frillish's request, and pokopiaguide says the Starmie Doll is how you reach the Dream Island where Phione can appear at low probability. So the quest is the documented route to both of Bubbly Basin's mythicals, though no guide says the Doll cannot be got another way.
Do you have to spend Life Coins on this quest?
Up to 1,000, of which only the Seashell Fencing recipe at 500 has no free route mentioned by any of the four guides. Gamerant says the Sharpedo Submarine Kit at 300 can be found in the Water Gym instead and the Lampions at 100 come from a Poke Ball near the cave, and game8 says a Cushion Bed is sitting in the other room of the house.
